“Who is the one who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? This is the One who came by WATER AND BLOOD, Jesus Christ; not with the water only, but with the water and with the blood. It is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth. For there are three that testify: the SPIRIT and the WATER and the BLOOD; and the three are in agreement.” – 1 John 5:5-8
Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of WATER AND THE SPIRIT he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.” – John 3:5
As they went along the road they came to some water; and the eunuch *said, “Look! WATER! What prevents me from being baptized?” – Acts 8:36 (Why do you suppose the eunuch wanted so quickly submission to water baptism?)
He who has believed AND HAS BEEN BAPTIZED shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned. – Mark 16:16 (Why do you suppose that Jesus purposely placed salvation AFTER baptism?)
At what very moment in a penitent believer’s heart does the Bible say he/she today, after Christ had rose from the dead (1 Cor 15:1-4), contacts the saving blood of Christ?
Buried in the watery tomb of baptism of course, so as to come out born again (John 3:3) a new creature in Christ (Rom 6:3-4) created for good works (Eph 2:10). Water and the blood, a spiritual circumcision (Col 2:11-12). Why do you suppose the apostle Peter plainly said "water baptism now saves you" in 1 Peter 3:21 if it were not true?
It takes honesty to see the truth. It takes a mind willing to repent (Luke 13:3) of “religious” error to find freedom in Christ (John 8:32).
Any other gospel is to be accursed (Gal 1:6-10). And those who do not obey will be eternally lost (2 Thess 1:8-9)
