He was told to GO because he was SENT, so he WENT and washed, and received his sight. Question, did he receive his sight before or after washing? Did the water (in of itself) have the power to make him see again, or was it his faith/trust (resulting in obedience) in Christ that did that? If you are honest the answer is simple.
Today we are told to ARISE, and be BAPTIZED to WASH away our sins. Question, are our sins washed away before or after baptism? Does water (in of itself) have the power to wash our sins, or is it our faith/trust (resulting in obedience) in Christ that does it? If you are honest the answer is simple.
The Bible is clear, simple and true. We must have faith/trust (James 2) in Christ the risen Son of God to repent and submit unto baptism resulting forgiveness of sins (Acts 2:38, Mark 16:16) which is at the very moment we are born again (John 3:5), added to His one kind of church (Acts 2:41, 47).
Let go “religious” error/sin and come visit us to hear the truth on all matters of faith (Rom 10:17).
