“One Lord, one faith, one baptism,” (Eph 4:5)
“Look! Water! What prevents me from being baptized?” (Acts 8:36)
“Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized,” (Acts 10:47)
“and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also” (1 Peter 3:21)
In all examples of conversion, AFTER our Master/King/Savior had risen from the dead, baptism was now commanded and essential to get IN CHRIST/church. But there were (and are) a few conditions, only a believer (one who had faith/trust, John 3:36) in his/her repentance (Luke 13:3, Acts 2:38) was illegible to have their sins washed away. This free gift of salvation could (and is) only to be administered and submitted to with the authority of Christ (Matt 28:18, calling on His name).
There is but one gospel (1 Cor 15:1-4) that saves ALL of us today (Rom 1:16) if we indeed have faith/trust in Jesus Christ our Lord (Heb 11:6).
Faith without works is dead (James 2:24)
Come hear the truth on all matters of faith (Rom 10:17)
The churches of Christ salute you (Rom 16:16)
