Open the Bible and follow along…
We want you to take an honest look at the verses found in Ephesians 2:8-9, what do you read therein? Would you be surprised that nowhere within those words do we discover immersion in water (baptism, Acts 8:36) as a works of merit? Read it again, please. Nowhere in there does it say “baptism is a works of merit and is not necessary for salvation.” As a matter of fact, not one single verse in the entire Bible has such a teaching recorded. Yet, unfortunately, millions of souls throughout the years have had their ears tickled (2 Tim 4:3) by the teachings of error (Luke 17:1) resulting in a fallen state of “religious” ignorance. This lack of knowledge gives birth to decades (centuries) of spiritual destruction (Hosea 4:6). We urge you to take special notice of the same book (Ephesians) same chapter (2) verse 2: “sons of disobedience.” Are you a son of disobedience towards the gospel? (2 Thess 1:8-9), we pray you are not.
Are you a seeker of truth (Luke 11:9), searching an awakening from your sleep (Eph 5:14), or just another blind man falling off the cliff of “religious” error? (Matt 15:14, Gal 1:9). Are you going to cling to worldly pride (Pro 16:18), or deny yourself and pick up the cross daily? (Luke 9:23). How will you ever teach the one true gospel of Christ which includes a faithful obedience to those you love if you remain lost with them? This moment in history is your time in life to turn/repent (Luke 13:3, Acts 2:38) and believe/trust/obey/follow Christ (John 3:36). The King's family/body/church/kingdom is waiting for you to be added to His spiritual house (Acts 2:41, 47).
It is through the kindness of God we receive our education of truth which keeps us away from sin. His grace allows us to understand the knowledge needed to obey His will (John 14:15), not by our own merit that we should boast, rather by His loving favor towards us. Because of the Master’s grace we are granted a faith that works towards obedience (Rom 1:5). "Was not Abraham our father justified by works?" (James 2:21). This is the faith/trust/belief you read in the inspired pages of the Bible that will save your eternal soul. Outside of this sober truth is a dead faith/”faith alone” (James 2:24) leading to destruction (Matt 7:19).
Come hear the truth on all matters of faith (Rom 10:17) and allow the Almighty Creator to save your soul and add you to His church.
The churches of Christ salute you (Rom 16:16)
